Auto save feature
I am regularly losing my progress when I accidentally delete a part of the pointcloud when segmenting, as the delete is right next to the checkmark. Also sometimes cloudcompare just crashes on me. I normally try to keep saving my work as a bin file manually. Yet, I tend to forget sometimes.
I ...

Memory consumption blowing up
I have a huge pointcloud, almost 2 billion, which fills about 70GBs of memory, I have 115GB RAM. The cloud load fine, of course the performance is pretty slow, but that is expected, the problem is I need to segment this cloud into multiple smaller ones, with each segmentation step using the segment ...

Re: Can't save .las/.laz files on Mac
Sadly the build was a little broken, so I got rid off it. However, from the git issue a tip that worked for mac is to disable "Use native load / save dialog box" from display settigns.

Re: Double Click to Specify Center of Rotation not working on Mac
Interestingly it is not solved in the binary. However, when building from source it actually works!daniel wrote: Tue Mar 25, 2025 7:01 am This issue should be fixed (hopefully) with the latest 2.14.alpha release. I'm just not sure it's available for macOS yet.

Re: Can't save .las/.laz files on Mac
After upgrading to macos 15.4, all the buttons to open, save and save as are not working. Also cmd+s isn't working. There is no way to save data out of cloudcompare, I tried with these builds "CloudCompare_20250314_161011.dmg" and "CloudCompare_2.13.2__arm64.dmg"

Re: Double Click to Specify Center of Rotation not working on Mac
I figured out the issue, it is when using a different resolution in mac than your actual screen resolution, so make sure in advanced display settings to turn on screen resolution list and select the highest resolution, now it works properly. For some reason on mac the default is different than the ...

Re: Double Click to Specify Center of Rotation not working on Mac
BTW very interesting thing, connecting to an external display using the HDMI solves the issue, now double clicking works and selects the point unshifted!

Mouse navigation (rotation) in orthographic mode
While navigating the scene in linux is completely fine and we get there a true 3d rotation which feels like this ( https://threlte.xyz/docs/reference/extras/trackball-controls). In the macos version for M chips we mostly get a weird way to navigate which makes it impossible to rotate only around one ...
