Ok, so it appears that it was a 'unicode' encoded text file (UTF8 exactly) while CloudCompare doesn't handle such enconding styles. Yeah, no problem. It's already in the trunk version. It will appear in the next release. I just had to strip the ",0,'f',3" arguments of the QString 'arg' methods, as it depends too much on your cloud dimensions/units. I prefer let QString choose automatically (it does this well generally)...
