I have a huge point cloud file (in DXF), almost 13 GB. I'm having issues loading it onto CloudCompare, so I decided to use the command line to do subsampling. However, the command line window becomes unresponsive after I press Enter following my command.
The goal is to reduce the points, then create a mesh to feed into another piece of software to do what I need. Is there any way to achieve this? I am struggling to complete this task. Help!
Problem Working with A Big DXF Point Cloud File
Re: Problem Working with A Big DXF Point Cloud File
Hum, sadly the DXF format is very inefficient, so I guess it can take a very long time to load... It also depends on the number of entities (is it only points? Or polylines as well?).
Anyway, apart from letting the SW work for a long time, I don't see any other option.

Thanks Daniel for the response. I manage to get the file in another format and it open swiftly.
