I am working on a point cloud file for an underground mine tunnel. I need to convert this file into a SEE-THROUGH mesh, as shown in the attached image.
The mesh will serve as input data for another software (Wireless Insite).
I am new to CloudCompare, as it was recommended to me, and although I have tried to accomplish this by following the user guide and watching some YouTube videos, I am still not achieving my goal.
I would be grateful if someone could help me achieve this by outlining the necessary approach.
Point Cloud to Hollow (Wireframe-like) mesh
Re: Point Cloud to Hollow (Wireframe-like) mesh
The see-through you are seeking is only a method to render the mesh, hence it is not format dipendent.
Anyhow, almost every software has, at least, the wireframe display mode; it is one of the simplest.
Now let's talk about fitting the mesh upon your point cloud:
there are tons of tutorials and guides avalaible, you just have to follow the "Poisson" reconstruction workflow.
