Error on loading LAZ file

Hello,
I have previously had no problems opening LAZ files, but after installing the latest CC release (2.14.beta, 23 Nov. 2025) the following error message appears: An error occurred while loading 'file' The third party library in charge of saving\loading the file has failed to perform the operation.
I asked a friend of mine, with a Kharkiv release of Cloudcompare installed, to open that same file. No issues occurred. Any suggestions what might have gone wrong?

What do you see in the Console when you try to load the file?

Hi everyone. I'm also experiencing the same issue, after updating to 2.14 in Windows.
When try openning .laz file, receive the message:
"An error ocurred while loading 'file': the third-party library in charge of saving/loading the file has failed to perform the operation".
Can anyone help me with this issue?

Also, how have you installed CC? (with the installer or the zip archive?)

[LAS] laszip error: '(null)'

I have installed CC via the installer on a Windows 11 Enterprise, version 24H2, 26100.6899.

This issue also occurs when saving in las and laz formats, but only for file paths that contain characters other than Latin letters, in my case (Cyrillic). For example, the path (D:\Лидар\RTK_2025-12-09_10-29-46.laz).

i am using version 2.14.beta (07 Dec. 2025), and it still happens. After trying several files, I noticed that this error is some kind of about encoding. When the path of las file contains non-acsii character, loading fails, otherwise succeeds. Anyway, i am not sure.
