Fine adjustments on translate/rotate tool

Post by Guitar Quackery »

Greeting,

In some cases I need to use the Translate/Rotate tool to make fine adjustments in the rotation of the cloud. At times I am unable to rotate precisely, because the cloud snaps into the nearest increment.

Is there a way to disable this snapping? Or perhaps to increase the resolution of the snapping?

Thank you very much.

Hum, not sure where the 'snap' would come from. Maybe it comes from the mouse?

I found that the rotation/translation increment method is WAY more flexible and precise compared to the mouse.

Coarse transformations with mouse, fine with steps

Thank you for this tip.

Although, I am struggling to find the increment method with steps. Where is that adjustment please?

There is nothing special to do, mouse control is the default behaviour.

To use it, permit or restrict axes from rotating and/or translating using the tool window, it is all self-explanatory.

THEN use the mouse onto the 3d view to do what you need... it is basic usage and requires little effort to master it.
