Global Shift Settings for Guitar Scan Sizes

Post by Guitar Quackery »

Hello,

I just discovered the Global Shift Settings and read through the description in this box.

It is my understanding that Cloud Compare is used a lot for large clouds, such as landscapes.

Since I will only be using it for 3D scans of guitars, what would the the ideal Global Shift settings for my size range?

Thank you very much.

If it's mm scans, with coordinates not too far from zero, then you can probably ignore the Global Shift and keep the coordinates as they are!
