Is 3 point align feature missing on Mac version?

I recently discovered CC and its been incredibly useful for quickly aligning a face of a 3D scan mesh to the XY plane. Much quicker than the einscan software the scanner bundles with.

However, the feature I use seems to only show up on the windows version of the app. My daily drive is a macbook pro.

Is there a way of retrieving this function on the mac version? Or am I just not seeing it in the interface?

(Well, I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be accessible in the macOS version... Are you selecting a point cloud or a mesh entity to make it enabled? (selecting the top group/folder won't work).

If it doesn't activate after you select a point cloud or a mesh, and it's a relatively recent version of CloudCompare, then you may want to open a bug 'issue' on github: https://github.com/CloudCompare/CloudCompare/issues (this way the macOS maintainers will see it).

To clarify, the screenshot I attached is the PC version which does have the feature (The button does become active when I select a mesh.)

The Mac version (pictured here) does not have that button/icon at all.

Is that a bug or deliberately missing from the mac release?

Is it a very old version of CC? Which version are you using on macOS?

I downloaded it on 30th June in what I thought was the latest version - 2.14.0

Is there newer versions for Mac?

I downgraded to "CloudCompare_2.13.2_arm64" version and now its there

So perhaps an issue isolated to 2.14 beta?

Sorry, it seems a 2.14 version 'issue' indeed. But it's just the icon that has disappeared. You normally still have access to this tool via 'Tools > Levels'
