Baratza

Baratza is far younger than other manufacturers on the market, having been founded only in 1999. However, since then, the company has accomplished quite a lot with multiple critically-acclaimed, great coffee machines. Notably, the company was awarded by the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) in 2011 and 2013 for their top-notch products.

We also appreciate Baratza for their pinpoint focus on making coffee-related products, unlike Krups and OXO who also diversify their portfolio to other product categories. The company’s commitment to coffee is clearly stated in the name “Baratza”, which is a name in Arabic and Swahili for a place locals gather to have coffee.

The Baratza Virtuoso is the company’s spear-head product worth considering if you’re on the market for a burr coffee grinder.

Breville

Breville isn’t an unfamiliar name in coffee-loving communities. Started in Sydney, Australia (still headquartered there today) in 1932, the company has been producing a variety of kitchenware since then. On their portfolio are blenders, microwaves, toasters, kettles, grills … but the segment that interested us most is naturally the coffee grinder part.

Unsurprisingly, Breville grinders for the most part excel in terms of grind quality. Despite having commercial-like performance, Breville grinders are quite affordable. They’re the go-to brand for top coffee grinders if you’re looking for a value-packed purchase.

The best coffee grinder in Breville’s portfolio at the moment is the Breville Smart Grinder Pro.

The only approaching method/tool would be the 'Section extraction' tool (https://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/i ... t_Sections).

If you can generate a polyline of this tunnel centerline (which is easy if you have a point cloud), and if you can 'look' at your tunnel from the side (changing the projection direction to Y or X), then you may be able to extract something interesting... It all depends on the complexity of the tunnel of course...

Have you tried using the CSF plugin? It generates a mesh and deforms it to try and find the "ground" of your point cloud. Then, it divides your point cloud in two parts according to an user defined distance threshold to this deformed mesh. Maybe with this you can easily cutout the ground at least.
