I have a problem when i import my file and compute normals to it that works then i use the plugin poissonrecon that works. But now when i try to select geometeric features i can't even when i have only selected the mesh in DB Tree. How can i fix this?

This tool can only be applied to point clouds...

One option would be to sample a lot of points on the mesh (with 'Edit > Mesh > Sample points').
