Faro scan, noise lines originating from scan center

Hi,
I'm working with Faro scan data and in situations where the scanner is very close to the objects, the scanner seems to create a lot of noise near edges. Specifically vertical "lines" originating from the scanner location.
I couldn't find any info on these on the forum, perhaps these are a Faro feature and a rare situation, but for me they appear on every scan when the scanner is nearby the object and scan time is (unreasonably) long.
If anyone has any suggestions for a workflow to filter these out, I'd be very happy! I was thinking of a way to isolate lines that eminate from the scanner location, but of course these aren't really lines, but points...
