While loading ascii file (.asc) with ~750 million points, x, y, z, R, G, B, tab-separated values, CloudCompare 2.13.2 crashes silently (event_viewer.png).

Sometimes the file is loaded successfully. In one of these occasions, while segmenting the point cloud, CloudCompare crashed again (event_viewer_2.png).

Crash while loading also happens with CloudCompare 2.14.alpha.

It looks like you have a relatively low limit on the available memory (you'll need a lot of RAM to handle such a large point cloud). How much RAM do you have? And have you disabled virtual memory maybe?

With such large clouds, it may be good to use the command line tool also (as you don't waste time with the display).
