I am quite new to CC, having only used it with specific instructions before. I am working with the M3C2 plugin to compare my datasets. I haven't been able to find information about exporting the resulting scalar fields as georeferenced clouds (.las). If I understand correctly, the differencing is visually projected onto one of the original clouds; however, I want to extract just the scalar field as a stand-alone cloud and I want to avoid rasterizing my data. Is this possible?

Well, once the plugin has run, you should have one of your cloud with the distance scalar field (and some other fields like confidence, etc.).

Then you just need to select this cloud and export it as a LAS file. Make sure to choose to export the additional fields as 'Extra fields' (because they are not 'standard' in the LAS format definition - see the last tab of the LAS export dialog in version 2.14.alpha)
