Cloudcompare crash when opening bin-files with planes

Hello,
A new problem has occurred. Maybe it has to do with the latest Window 11 update? Cloudcompare crashes when I try to open a bin project files that contains planes generated by the Compass plugin. Saving seems to go smooth and the file size seems also correct, but the software shuts down when trying to open it.
I'm using version 2.14 alpha (Apr 13, 2025) and this problem did not occur in April and May, when I worked with a similar project. What might cause the problem?

Best regards

There was a bug in the Compass plugin sadly. You should update to the latest 2.14.alpha version. Hopefully this should work now. If not, don't hesitate to send me the BIN file.

Hi,
And thank you for your quick reply. I installed the Sep 2 2025 version and the problem sadly remains. Still crashes when trying to open a bin file with Compass measurement. I compiled a 9.8 mb test file. How would you like to have it delivered? Seems like it can't be included in the attachment.

You can use WeTransfer or a similar service and send it to 'admin@cloudcompare.org'.

(also, have you re-generated the planes with the new version, or are you simply trying to load an old file?)

I tried both.

This should now be fixed (but old files will still crash or be considered invalid sadly).

Yes, saving and opening seems to work well now. Thank you for fixing the issue!
